Gujarat University Senate election
results are out. National Students Union of India (NSUI) emerged winners in the
elections. The NSUI grabbed six of the 10 available seats while ABVP has won 4
seats. ABVP has thus lost two seats compare to last year, while NSUI is
jubilant with this result as it has won two seats more compare to rival ABVP.
“Gujarat University
authorities and Gujarat government had put in
their efforts to beat NSUI candidates but students showed faith in us. NSUI
will now raise several student issues and demand investigation in corruption
cases within the university," said Gulabsinh Rajput, president — NSUI
Gujarat.
